Welcome To Durham Tongue Tie Laser Clinic

At Durham Tongue Tie Laser Clinic, we use an Erbium YAG laser to provide tongue and lip tie releases to infants, children and adults.
Dr. Robert is a general dentist and works in collaboration with an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant to provide diagnosis and treatment for tongue and lip ties. Additionally, we provide nursing and solid-food consultation for infants. Our practice specifically focuses on infants 9 months and under who are having challenges relating to nursing and feeding. We also provide treatment to children and adults who have been diagnosed by an Oral Myofunctional Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist or a Medical Doctor. Between the ages of 8 months and 6 years, we recommend seeking treatment with a pediatric dentist or pediatrician.

What is a Tongue/Lip Tie?

A tongue or lip tie is commonly referred to as a tethered oral tissue. This is a condition where a band of muscular tissue prevents the tongue or lip from moving freely in ways that make nursing, eating and speaking properly possible.
